<h3>NāNo Gallery presents Brain Dump by Ali Einoder.</h3>
Alexander (Ali) Einoder is a Tasmanian multidisciplinary artist, designer and researcher based in Abbotsford.
This month, NāNo Gallery features a collection of small drawings from Ali’s notebooks, one larger painting and a meticulously adorned guitar. The painting has been repeatedly deformed and repainted to add texture, while the guitar features layers of paint marker and varnish, filled with disconnected doodles. Ali has used simple, bold colours and abstract forms to stimulate the viewer&#8217;s imagination. And while Ali claims that the imagery is mostly juvenile, absurd, and unfiltered doodles made while thinking about other things, we get an interesting insight into the process and delightful workings of this artist’s playful mind.
Join us street-front 5:00pm this Friday 4th October for opening night.
The exhibition will run through until the end of the month.

NāNo Gallery is thrilled to present our first solo exhibition.
Louis Dickins (b. 1995) is a Melbourne-based visual artist, writer, and filmmaker whose work is inspired by the urban, gritty streetlight of the inner city and its colourful characters. The juxtaposition of these figures and their bright hues against this often tough, urban environment brings, in Louis’s words, “something bright and hopeful to hang on to in all of them.”
Completing a Bachelor of Creative Arts at Australian Catholic University, Louis’s work has been exhibited throughout Ngár-go/Fitzroy, in locally galleries and community joints such as Mario’s Café, and Gertie Gallery. His work has recently been acknowledged as a finalist the Emerging Artist Award 2024 presented by fortyfivedownstairs.
Along with painting, Louis has also written and produced three short films and a play, the most recent of which, Plastic Flowers (2023) has been selected to show at Purgatory Film Festival in Southampton, UK.

NāNo Gallery is a teeny tiny Melbourne-based contemporary art space whose sole purpose is to elevate and celebrate the arts. Located in the heart of Ngár-go (Fitzroy), NāNo Gallery adds a unique, multi-disciplinary art space to this wonderfully colourful and diverse local community.
Established in 2024, by Decibel Architecture (dB(A)) as an extension of our creative activism, NāNo Gallery has a deep commitment to supporting local artists and to using this platform for good. It leans into dB(A)’s values of Knowledge, Radicalism and Play.
